Activities
Our centre offers several ways for researchers to collaborate and connect:
Research collaborations
Partner with us on joint research projects and explore innovative solutions together.
Our centre invites researchers to collaborate on cutting-edge projects and explore innovative approaches to data collection, representation, analysis, and interpretation, contributing to the development of the emerging field of computational humanities. These collaborations aim not only to address complex research questions but also to expand the possibilities of what humanities research can be in the digital age.
If you would like to discuss a potential collaboration, please contact us at cdch@hum.ku.dk. Kindly include a brief description of your research interests and collaboration proposal.
Consultations
Gain expert advice and assistance on your technical challenges or digital projects.
We offer personalized consultations to assist you with your technical and digital challenges. Whether you are new to digital approaches or looking to deepen your technical practice, our team provides guidance on topics such as data wrangling, text mining, visualisation, machine learning, and more. We help you navigate available tools, choose suitable methods, and design workflows aligned with your research questions. Our goal is to empower scholars to engage critically and creatively with digital technologies in the context of their own disciplinary practices.
Secondments
Temporarily join our team or host one of our experts at your organization to foster mutual learning.
Our secondment program allows researchers and professionals to temporarily join our team or host one of our experts in their own organization. This mutual exchange fosters knowledge sharing, enhances skills, and encourages the development of new ideas. Secondments provide an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience, networking, and deepening expertise in areas of mutual interest.
Workshops
Attend specialized workshops and seminars designed to share knowledge and skills in our areas of expertise.
We regularly host workshops that introduce digital tools, methods, and critical perspectives relevant to humanities research. These events are designed to be hands-on and practice-oriented, offering participants a chance to experiment, learn, and reflect on how digital approaches can enhance and transform their research. Our workshops cover a wide range of topics—from Generative AI to data analysis—and are open to researchers at all levels. They provide a supportive space to build digital skills, share experiences, and explore new ways of doing research.
If you would like to request a custom workshop for your research group, please contact us at cdch@hum.ku.dk. Kindly include a brief description of your research area along with details regarding the specific workshop you are requesting.
Networking
Participate in our workshops, seminars, and events to exchange ideas, build relationships, and expand your professional network.
Our events bring together a diverse community of researchers interested in the intersection of humanities and technology. Whether through workshops, informal gatherings, or collaborative projects, we provide opportunities for participants to connect, exchange ideas, and form new partnerships. By facilitating conversations across disciplines, institutions, and career stages, we aim to strengthen the growing field of computational humanities and support a vibrant, inclusive research community.
